We have been working on making the office more green friendly. We are now computerized, and this helps to eliminate the use of extra paper, plus it makes our notes much easier to write, and provide us more time for you, our patient.
With this we are working to update our data base, so please let us know your current email, to get on the mailing list.
Another added feature we are working on, is online scheduling. We have been in touch with our software developer, and it should be soon, that we can offer this service. So be sure to get your email in our system, to be sure to hear the latest news.
Many of you have asked, and the latest update, is the bill has passed house and senate, and now the Governor is setting the board for massage therapy. House bill 1050 is on its way to making massage therapy licensed in Michigan, and that will open up Blue Cross and Blue Shield to paying for massage. In turn, opening up other insurance companies to pay for massage as a health care benefit. Our office is already up and running for billing. We will let you know as soon as we know. Little thing you may not know, massage is covered by auto insurance. So if you or one of your family/friends finds themselves in pain after an auto accident, a doctor can prescribe massage as a way of healing.
If you have a charity event and can use items, we donate massages. We also can come to the event, if there is a need to raise money. Let your therapist know the details, so we can participate.
We have updated our website thanks to the work by Pro Web Marketing. They have made our web site easier to navigate, and help us get the word out who we are and what we are all about. Be sure to share with your friends and family our new site and to check out our new discounts. Periodically will be offering discounts and savings. Also if you have any web design needs we all recommend Pro Web Marketing.
This is something we are currently studying. Two of our therapists are currently taking the classes, to increase our education and have something else to offer to our patients. The difference with Medical Acupuncture and Traditional Acupuncture is that we are going to be using the needles in areas of pain, to help reduce the pain, and trigger the brains ability heal with the release of endorphins. Traditional Acupuncture uses the body energy and maridians to determine where to apply the needles. We will keep you updated as to when we will be able to offer this service.
Don’t forget for the pregnant women in your life, we use a maternity pillow that allows them to lay face down during the massage, providing a soothing experience.
